If you see "In Stock" listed below the description, this means we DO ACTUALLY have them on the shelf and ready to ship! We never drop ship anything, ever!
Trick Flow's exciting new USA MADE Big Block Mopar heads are now available! These are only available fully CNC ported, and feature a peak intake flow of 334 CFM, which should easily make in the 600-700 horsepower range in a 500+CI engine, depending on the rest of your build. These interchange with all factory style components such as pistons, rocker arms, intakes and headers, so very little "special" items are required. They do require 3/4" extended reach spark plugs (use our part #138-1000) and special longer head bolts, see our special special Trick Flow head bolt kits also listed. This version is supplied with valve springs which will fit most FLAT TAPPET hydraulic cams and feature steel retainers with 7 degree locks which Trick Flow rates up to .650" max lift. Also features a heart shaped 78CC combustion chamber with angled spark plugs and 2.19" intake and 1.76" exhaust valve diameters. Trick Flow lists 4.320" as the MINIMUM bore diameter to be used with these heads. A great head at a great price! Trick Flow part #TFS-61617801-C00. These are sold individually (one head per part number,) so order quantity of 2 if you need a pair of heads.

Trick Flow 240 and 270 heads have larger intake ports, which raises up the top of the head. A taller head requires longer than stock head bolts. These reduced diameter USA made bolts feature 12 point heads, and are rated at least 170,000 PSI, far stronger than the factory head bolts or even a standard type grade 8 bolt. We even include .100" thick custom made hardened washers with them. One set contains enough bolts for two heads (one complete engine.) A great USA made choice, strong enough for virtually all applications, at a price that won't break the bank! For use with Trick Flow Heads ONLY! Exact appearance may differ slightly from the photo.
While the typical "production" valve job work done on any mass produced head is fine for most applications, for those that want super accurate, very high precision work, we offer our competition valve job which can be performed on any of the cylinder heads we sell. As you can see in the picture, we use only the best equipment, a genuine USA Made SUNNEN VGS-20 seat and guide machine. The tooling we use is the SGM series tooling, which is the strongest, most stable tooling offered, which assures the highest quality, most accurate and consistent results. For most applications, we cut a 30 degree top cut, a 45 degree seat, and a 60 degree throat cut. We keep a seat width of .060" for the intake seats and .080" for the exhaust seats, which works well for performance applications but is also very durable for street driving. After doing the work, we also hand lap each seat. This does two things, it allows us to visually verify with 100% certainty that the valve to seat contact has the correct position on the valve, width and concentricity, and most importantly it verifies the valve is making a good, tight seal to the cylinder head. AND, because we have to fully disassemble the cylinder head in order to do all this work, if you are upgrading to double valve springs and/or 10 degree locks and retainers, we will re-assemble the head with the upgraded components at no extra charge! That's a $100 savings. And, all the work is done right here at our shop in Carson City by Terry, who has had many years of machine shop experience under his belt. This allows us to keep all QC processes in house and and under our direct supervision and control. If you are ordering heads, simply add this part to your order and we will perform the work on the heads before they ship. In most cases, please allow 2-3 days time to complete the work.
Shown here is our checking pushrod tool specifically for use with TRICK FLOW heads on an RB (413/426/440) engine. Trick Flow heads use a considerably longer pushrod since the top of the head was raised up to allow for taller ports, which help to increase the airflow of the head. Use this for applications with adjustable rocker arms which use the ball on the bottom end, and the cup on the top end. This is basically a pushrod which has been cut and threaded, so that it can be screwed in and out (or adjusted) once it is fit in the engine to determine the correct length pushrod you will need for that application. This is for use as a tool only, you would never actually run this pushrod in an engine. Once the correct pushrod length is found (by measuring the length of the checking pushrod after everything is positioned correctly), then pushrods can be ordered or made (if necessary) to that length. This version of our pushrod checking tool is adjustable from approximately 9" to 10." In case you are using Trick Flow heads on a "B" (383/400) engine, then use our standard RB checking pushrod (part number 200-1098) for that application.
Our new AMERICAN MADE cut to fit pushrod sets are made for us by Manton Pushrods in Lake Elsinore, CA. These are specifically for use with TRICK FLOW heads on an RB (413/426/440) engine. Trick Flow heads use a considerably longer pushrod since the top of the head was raised up to allow for taller ports, which help to increase the airflow of the head. They are exactly what you need if you don't know exactly what your finished pushrod length should be. These 3/8" .060" wall heavy duty pushrods come with the ball end (bottom end) of the pushrods assembeled, however the top (cup) end comes unassembeled, so that you can cut the tubing down to the exact length you need. Maximum length is 10" (if they were put together without shortening the length,) and these pushrods can be cut down to any length shorter than that. While we recommend cutting the tubing on a lathe for the straightest possible cut, if you are in a pinch, these can also be cut with a cutoff wheel. The ends can be pressed in with a press, or (in a pinch) tapped in with a mallet if necessary. A great way to ensure you'll be getting the correct length pushrods for your TRICK FLOW heads, without having to mess with multiple orders, custom made parts, etc.
This hydraulic roller grind is a great match for Trick Flow heads, or other CNC ported heads flowing in the 320 CFM or better range. With duration at .050" at a very streetable 243/247 degrees, but lift at an amazing .600", this cam allows good flowing heads to really work, while still keeping plenty of low end and driveablity for stoplight to stoplight response. Lobe separation is 108. We'd use about a 3000 stall, and some decent rear end gears (3.55-4.10 for the street,) and a minimum of 10:1 compression. Also, keep in mind that all roller cams require a bronze distributor gear such as our 200-1085, a bronze fuel pump pushrod such as our 145-1021, a three bolt timing chain with a torrington bearing such as our 114-1001, a cam button such as our 145-1005, and a set of the hydraulic retrofit roller lifters we sell. And, you must run 10 degree valve locks and retainers, and matching roller double valve springs.
We offer this 12 point performance bolt upgrade kit for using TRICK FLOW heads with our 200-1032 Billet Aluminum Rocker Holddown kit. Normally rocker hold downs will use 6 short bolts and 4 long ones, however Trick Flow heads were re-designed to use all 10 short bolts. So, we have sourced the additional four 12 point bolts required, and we offer them as a separate kit which can be purchased to use our 200-1032 rocker holddowns with Trick Flow heads. Includes 4 bolts, use one package per engine. Washers are not included, they are supplied with the 200-1032.
Our new "Stealth" cylinder head gaskets are a perfect match for our Stealth cylinder heads. They come teflon coated, which allows for a perfect seal on engines which have dissimilar metals, such as an iron engine block with aluminum heads. Because aluminum expands at a rate much greater than iron, these two surfaces move against each other as the engine heats up and cools down. The teflon allows for this movement, making sure there will not be any coolant or combustion leaks, even during extended street driving. We've fully tested these at up to 12:1 compression. These fit all big blocks, all years. They are sold individually (one single gasket,) so be sure to order two if you need a set. Compressed thickness on these head gaskets is .051" The Teflon coating is designed to be installed dry, so no chemicals or sealers are necessary for installation. Just clean your deck surfaces (we recommend using laquer thinner for this), bolt 'em on and go. Although these are designed for our aluminum Stealth heads, they also work great with other brands of aluminum heads such as Edelbrock, Trick Flow, ProMaxx, etc and you can even use them on factory iron heads also.
