ARP Bolt Kit - Torque Converter 5/16 (Small) Our ARP torque converter to flexplate bolt kits are the strongest bolts you can get to attach your torque converter to flexplate for high horsepower and/or highly stressed applications. Made from 200,000 PSI forged aerospace alloy, these were originally developed for NASCAR winston cup competition. The bolts are fully heat treated prior to thread rolling and machining. Finished in black oxide for good looks and corrosion resistance. Flat 12pt head design ensures no clearance problems during installation. If you have a stroker engine with aftermarket components, high stall converter, etc... these are must have item. You simply can not put in stronger bolts than these. These are the smaller 5/16" bolts used for most stock type torque converters. For most performance torque converters, use our 7/16" bolt kit instead, which is part # 129-1052.

These are the larger 7/16" bolts used for most aftermarket performance torque converters. For most stock converters, use our 5/16" bolt kit instead, which is part # 129-1006.
ARP Bolt Kit - 6 bolt Flexplate to Crank 7/16 Our ARP Flexplate to crank bolt kits are the strongest bolts you can get to attach a 6 bolt crank to flexplate for high horsepower and/or highly stressed applications. Made from 200,000 PSI forged aerospace alloy, these were originally developed for NASCAR winston cup competition. The bolts are fully heat treated prior to thread rolling and machining. Flat 12pt head design ensures no clearance problems during installation. These will also work for attaching the flexplate to the torque converter with Hemi or aftermarket racing torque converters that have 7/16" bolt holes (only 4 are required for this application, so you will have a couple spares.) If you have a stroker engine with aftermarket components, high stall, etc... these are must have item. You simply can not put in stronger bolts than these.
ARP Ultra-Torque Assembly Lube - 1.69oz Tube Whenever you order bolts, don't forget a tube of ARP assembly lubricant. ARP's new "Ultra-Torque" is a special new blend of PFTE lube which ensures the correct torque will be reached on the first pull, so there is no longer any need to "cycle" the fastener (or loosen and tighten it several times), which has been the case with ARP's regular "Moly Lube" This lube is essential to get correct torque on the head, rod and main bolts, and it doesn't hurt to put it on misc other engine bolts as well. One tube is usually enough to do 4 or 5 complete engines, so it's a good investment to keep around the shop.
Permatex Blue Loctite Use our premium Permatex BLUE Loctite on all applications which need to be held in place, but are still intended to be broken loose from time to time. We always use this on certain parts of the engine which tend to come loose occaisionally due to harmonics, even when they are torqued correctly during assembly. Big Block Mopars are famous for this on torque coverter bolts, rocker arm hardware, cam sprocket bolts, etc. We highly recommend it for those applications. One small tube is usually enough to do one complete engine. Made in the USA!
