Stealth Aluminum CNC Cylinder Heads - ASSEMBLED SINGLE HEAD We've taken something great and made it even better! Now our heads are available fully CNC Machined on both the intake and exhaust ports. Port design by Jeff Kobylski at Modern Cylinder Head in Clinton Township, Michigan.
Stealth Cylinder Head Bolt Kit - 12pt. If you are using our Stealth aluminum cylinder heads, these brand new head bolts are just the ticket. Featuring very high strength, but still at a great price, these are the way to go. Priced at a fraction of the cost of the name brand bolts, these are custom made for us by one of the largest bolt manufacturers around. They feature reduced diameter 12 point heads for easy access in applications that have countersunk head bolts (such as our Stealth aluminum heads or Edelbrock Performer RPM heads), but they also work great with factory iron heads. Rated at 170,000 PSI, they are far stronger that the factory head bolts, or even a standard type grade 8 bolt. We even include .100" thick hardened washers with them. One set contains enough bolts for two heads (one complete engine.)
Stealth Cylinder Head Gasket (Qty 1) - Black Our new "Stealth" cylinder head gaskets are a perfect match for our Stealth cylinder heads. They come teflon coated, which allows for a perfect seal on engines which have dissimilar metals, such as an iron engine block with aluminum heads. Because aluminum expands at a rate much greater than iron, these two surfaces move against each other as the engine heats up and cools down. The teflon allows for this movement, making sure there will not be any coolant or combustion leaks, even during extended street driving. We've fully tested these at up to 12:1 compression. These fit all big blocks, all years. They are sold individually (one single gasket,) so be sure to order two if you need a set. Compressed thickness on these head gaskets is .051" The Teflon coating is designed to be installed dry, so no chemicals or sealers are necessary for installation. Just clean your deck surfaces (we recommend using laquer thinner for this), bolt 'em on and go. Although these are designed for our aluminum Stealth heads, they also work great with other brands of aluminum heads such as Edelbrock, Trick Flow, ProMaxx, etc and you can even use them on factory iron heads also.
Competition Valve Job - for Stealth Cylinder Heads While the typical "production" valve job work done on any mass produced head is fine for most applications, for those that want super accurate, very high precision work, we offer our competition valve job for our Stealth Aluminum cylinder heads. As you can see in the picture, we use only the best equipment, a genuine USA Made SUNNEN VGS-20 seat and guide machine. The tooling we use is the SGM series tooling, which is the strongest, most stable tooling offered, which assures the highest quality, most accurate and consistent results. For most applications, we cut a 30 degree top cut, a 45 degree seat, and a 60 degree throat cut. We keep a seat width of .060" for the intake seats and .080" for the exhaust seats, which works well for performance applications but is also very durable for street driving. After doing the work, we also hand lap each seat. This does two things, it allows us to visually verify with 100% certainty that the valve to seat contact has the correct position on the valve, width and concentricity, and most importantly it verifies the valve is making a good, tight seal to the cylinder head. AND, because we have to fully disassemble the cylinder head in order to do all this work, if you are upgrading to double valve springs and/or 10 degree locks and retainers, we will re-assemble the head with the upgraded components at no extra charge! That's a $100 savings. And, all the work is done right here at our shop in Carson City by Terry, who has had many years of machine shop experience under his belt. This allows us to keep all QC processes in house and and under our direct supervision and control. If you are ordering Steath heads (regular or CNC ported), simply add this part to your order and we will perform the work on the heads before they ship. In most cases, please allow 2-3 days time to complete the work.
Comp Cams Super Lock Steel Retainers - Set of 16 Shown here is our Comp Cams 10 degree "Super Lock" Steel Retainers. These are a huge, extremely beefy valve retainer which is designed to fit our Comp "Super Locks," which can be found on our Valve Locks page. This 10 degree lock & retainer system has a wider angle of interference than a standard 7 degree lock. These are fully machined from 4140 Chrome Moly and finished in black oxide. Comp recommends these for any cams over .460" lift. We highly recommend upgrading to these for extra insurance. These are supplied in a set of 16, enough to do one complete engine. Since they're Comp, you can be assured of two things: They're 100% made in the USA, and the quality is second to none.
Comp Cams Super Lock 11/32 10deg. Valve Locks Shown here is our Comp Cams 10 degree "Super Locks." These are a huge, extremely beefy valve lock which has a wider angle of interference than a standard 7 degree lock. These are fully machined (not stamped) from a super tough fatigue resistant alloy. Comp recommends these for any cams over .460" lift. These fit 11/32 valve stems, which can be found on most aftermarket aluminum heads (such as our Stealth heads or Edelbrock RPM's,) and they work great with our Comp "Super Lock" retainers, part number 145-1003 or 145-1006, which can be found on our Valve Retainers page. We highly recommend upgrading to these for extra insurance. These are supplied in a set of 32, enough to do one complete engine. Since they're Comp, you can be assured of two things: They're 100% made in the USA, and the quality is second to none.
Sheet Metal Valley Pan - RB Engine - Single Plane Our fabricated sheet metal valley pans work great with our aluminum Stealth heads, Edelbrock RPM heads, Trick Flow 240's AND 270's, or any other aftermarket heads which feature an unbroken deck surface where the lower edge of the head's deck surface meets the edge of the valley pan. They will also work with factory cylinder heads, however there may be a small gap where the lower deck surface has a break which may need to be filled with silicone, depending on the intake manifold you are using. The pan is shown upside down in the picture. When it is installed, the "lips" along the long sides will fit underneath the edge of the cylinder heads, making a tight seal and allowing the use of standard intake port gaskets. This pan is designed to work with SINGLE PLAIN INTAKES only. Dual plane intakes (including stock units) will not fit due to the exhaust crossover which hangs down underneath them. We do have some other models which may work if you are using a dual plane intake Because this pan is a single solid piece which fits "under" the cylinder head intake face edges, it requires at least one cylinder head to be off during installation or removal. Supplied in a gold irridite finish for good looks and corrosion resistance.
We carry these in two different versions, one for the "RB" (413/426/440) engines and one for the "B" (361/383/400) engines. Be sure to select the correct one for the type of engine you are working on.
Sheet Metal Valley Pan - RB Engine - Dual Plane This valley pan is the same as our single plain models, except it features a clearance well which will clear the exhaust crossover found in the Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold. It DOES NOT work with stock cast iron intakes, the Edelbrock standard Performer, or any others. These also work well with our aluminum Stealth heads, Edelbrock RPM heads, or any other aftermarket heads which feature an unbroken deck surface where the lower edge of the head's deck surface meets the edge of the valley pan. It will also work with factory cylinder heads, however there may be a small gap where the lower deck surface has a break which may need to be filled with silicone, depending on the intake manifold you are using.
