Cam Bearings - High Performance
Dura-Bond's USA Made high performance cam bearings offer more than double the fatigue strength of conventional bearings, allowing them to withstand higher valve spring loads, and they maintain the excellent surface characteristics of Babbitt. The load surface on these is highly polished to a mirror like finish. Made at Dura-Bond's factory right here in Carson City, (just a few blocks down the road from 440 Source) their cam bearings are the most trusted and well known in the industry.

Cam Bearings - High Performance - Coated
We now offer these USA Made Durabond Coated Cam bearings. These are coated with a fluoropolymer composite coating which a dry lubricant that actually penetrates the surface. The primary advantage being it retains engine oil on the surface, even under extreme heat and pressure conditions. Being a lubricant itself, the coating provides secondary (back-up) lubrication in the event that momentary oil strarvation occurs, especially important during start-up. A step up from the standard cam bearings for those higher budget builds.

Clevite's "Bearing Guard" assembly lube is specially formulated with an Extreme Pressure (EP) rating to provide proper lubrication for internal engine components during assembly, and for the first crucial moments of operation after engine start-up. If you are using Clevite bearings, this is best (factory matched) assembly lube you can get. Highly recommended!

Bearing Knife
Our bearing knife is a useful tool to have during engine assembly. Used for both champhering the outer edge of rod and main bearings (sometimes necessary for crankshafts with large fillet radiuses) as well as "shaving" cam bearings which encounter some distortion after installation. Also works great for just general deburring of sharp edges.
