Our new ONE PIECE CNC Aluminum Billet Oil Pump covers are the way to go for a perfomance engine. Way back in the day, these used to be manufactured as two separate pieces which bolted together with a "green" gasket between them, to seal the oil passages. It became a fairly common occurance that the gasket would blow out, which would result in oil spraying all over the engine compartment and the road (and/or racetrack) which does not make for the most pleasant (or safe) experience. In more recent years, some manufacturers (including some blue anodized ones that we sold for a few years) re-designed the two pieces so that they used o-rings to seal instead of the gasket. This was a much needed improvement, but the cover was still made from two completely separate pieces. We now carry this much newer design where the entire cover is machined from one solid piece of 6061 aluminum. There are no joints to leak or come apart, because, well... there are no joints period!
And, we've included all the best features with these covers. They include both a side and a rear -12AN ports, one with a plug and one with a union to connect to your external pickup. For factory K member cars with factory mounts, use the side port. For tube chassis cars, dragsters or motor plate cars, simply switch the location of the plug and union and use the rear port.
We also include our 200-1093 adjustable oil pressure regulator already installed, which allows you to dial in the oil pressure exactly where you want it, even while the engine is running! And we include our 200-1177 high pressure spring and 200-1176 Plunger, and EVEN our premium 200-1178 copper gasket to seal it all up. These parts alone sell separately for $80!
A great value, these covers can even be used with internal pickup systems if you simply replace the -12AN Union with a second -12AN plug. Another great option you won't find anywhere else besides 440 Source!
