This section includes all the small and easily forgotten hardware which is necessary to put an engine together such as keys, plugs, bushings, etc, etc. Make sure you have these small items so your build doesn't get held up unnecessarily.
Intermediate Shaft Bushing - High Performance CNC Machined We now offer our new HIGH PERFORMANCE intermediate shaft bushings. Unlike the standard bushings everyone else is selling which are made from powdered metal, these are FULLY CNC MACHINED from a solid piece of brass. We helically machine the top of these to funnel the oil to the oil pump shaft reducing oblong wear, expecially at HIGHER RPM's which helps to greatly increase the amount of oil available to the gear. We also machine extra oil slots inside the bore area, and these are large enough for oil to easily enter which helps them to also act as a reservoir. These improvements are all visible in the picture. An important note, these are for COUNTERCLOCKWISE rotation only, so they CAN NOT be used in small blocks or reverse rotation boat engines. There is no specific rotation or "clocking" needed when installing. A great improvement which helps with longevity, especially if you are running a billet roller cam and/or a high volume oil pump, both of which put extra stress on the gears.

Intermediate Shaft Bushing - Bronze - New While replacing your intermediate shaft, don't forget to replace the bushing as well. Our aftermarket bronze bushings are a significant improvement over the factory aluminum units. Don't forget to order our 200-1205 Installer/Reamer tool (available on our tools and supplies page) if you are installing one of these yourself.
Intermediate (distributor) Shaft Bushing Installer and Reamer Tool This custom made tool works perfectly to install your intermediate (distributor) shaft bushing into your engine block. Just insert the bushing onto the end of the tool, lower the tool and bushing into the block, and guide the bushing into the block hole. Then drop the round collar down into the distributor hole, which will center and guide the tool. Then tap the end of the tool with a hammer, this will drive the bushing into the block perfectly straight and evenly. You'll hear the sound change once the bushing bottoms out into the block. Then thread the large nut down onto the tool until it's snug against the collar. Then hold the adjusting screw from moving with a 3/8" wrench or a crescent. Then tighten the large installation nut, and this will pull the reamer tip up through the bushing, ensuring it is properly sized. After this, your intermediate shaft will drop right into the bushing with no problems. Freeze Plug Kit - Brass Brass Freeze Plug kit. Includes standard depth brass block plugs, oil galley pipe plugs and cam plug. These plugs are the same dimensions as the ones Chrysler used when your engine originally left the factory. However, brass has much better resistance to corrosion, making it a nice upgrade from the standard steel material that the factory used. Can be left as unpainted brass finish, or painted engine color after installation.

Drain Cock for side of engine block These drain cocks are designed to be permanently installed into the side of the engine block between the front and the middle freeze plug. They act as an open/close valve, and allow you to drain the coolant neatly and cleanly and make sure the blocks water jackets are fully drained if necessary. Another one of those super hard to find items that you really need for every quality build. Use two per engine, one on each side.
Engine Block Pipe Plug Kit We've put together a convenient kit which includes every single one of the ten pipe plugs you will need for the entire outside of the engine.
Dipstick Plug - Aluminum This is a reproduction of the aluminum dipstick plug the factory used on big block truck applications where the dipstick bolts directly into the rear sump oil pan instead of going though the engine block. It's also useful for any other application where you would want to plug the dipstick hole, such as in dragsters, long term storage, etc. Package includes ONE plug.
Cylinder Head Dowel Pins - Package of 4 - New These are the Dowel Pins that fit into the deck and align the cylinder heads during assembly. These should be replaced whenever the deck is surfaced on a block. Comes in a package of 4. Use one package per engine. Another hard to find necessity. These also work for the timing cover locating dowels. Use an extra 2 pins per engine for this purpose.
Engine Block to Bellhousing Dowel Pins - Set of 2 This is an O.E. Mopar engine block to transmission bellhousing dowel pin set. Fits small blocks, big blocks and Hemi's with both manual and automatic transmissions. These are standard (no offset.) Includes 2 pieces, enough to do one complete engine.
Woodruff Key - High Performance - New New Heavy Duty Alloy woodruff key. Use for all engines, all years. This "performance" style uses extended "points" on the top of the key to allow more contact area with the crank gear of the timing set. Package of ONE woodruff key.
Fuel Pump Pushrod - Bronze Tip for Roller Cams Our new premium BRONZE TIP fuel pump pushrods are designed for use with billet roller cams. They are made from hollow 4130 Chrome Moly steel which then has heat treated tips pressed in. This process allows for over a 30% weight savings compared to stock replacement type pushrods, which are made from a solid steel bar. This model features a BRONZE tip, and is designed to be used with 8620 ROLLER CAMSHAFTS ONLY. We carry a different version with steel tips for use with regular iron cams. Freeze Plug - Oil Galley Blockoff - Package of 1 - New A special freeze plug recommended for modifying the oiling system on big blocks that are running a solid flat tappet or solid roller cam. Not used with standard hydraulic flat tappet or hydraulic roller setups.

Early Style Disc Plug Kit - Brass Another 440 Source item you won't find anywhere else... Shown here is our Brass Early Disc Style Plug kit. Used on all big block Mopar engines from their introduction in 1958 until 1962, these conical "discs" are secured in the block by tapping them in the center which causes them to expand. These kits include EVERY plug you will need for the engine, including the engine block, cylinder heads and camshaft plug.
Water Pump Housing Pipe Plug Kit We carry a convenient NPT pipe plug kit, which includes all the pipe plugs which could possibly be needed for a water pump housing.
Water Temp Sending Unit - W/ Gauge - Disc Type We offer water temp sending units for factory and most aftermarket electrical gauges. These fit in the small 1/8" pipe threads on the top drivers side of our aluminum water pump housings, and work with cars which included factory temp gauges. There are two different versions of this sending unit. This one uses a small disc on the top, which a spade connector slips over and locks onto. The other style (listed separately) has a threaded stud which uses an eyelet on the end of the wire, and his held on by a nut. Order the type you need depending on which connector you have on the end of your wiring harness. Another often overlooked part which can be hard to find at times. Factory Style Heavy Duty Torque Strap Cable Ma Mopar supplied these from the factory on super heavy duty applications such as police cars, etc. This heavy duty cable bolts to the engine block on the top, and the K-member on the bottom, so that if the rubber engine mount (insulator) should fail for any reason, the cable will restrict the engine movement and prevent any damage. With the super powerful stroker setups many of us are now running, installing one of these is a no brainer, no matter what type of engine mounts you are using.

Bearing Knife Our bearing knife is a useful tool to have during engine assembly. Used for both champhering the outer edge of rod and main bearings (sometimes necessary for crankshafts with large fillet radiuses) as well as "shaving" cam bearings which encounter some distortion after installation. Also works great for just general deburring of sharp edges.
Main Stud Kit - 12 Point - 180,000PSI When bolts just aren't strong enough, you have to go to main studs. Our main cap stud kit are made from 180,000PSI 8740 steel, the strongest main studs you can buy for the big block Mopar engine. We also inlclude hardened and parallel ground washers, as well as custom 12 point nuts for precision torquing and extra clearance. A great, super strong set for the money.
