Silicone Rear Seal End Strips Kit
We also offer upgraded silicone rubber rear seal end strips. These are the small strips which fit down the sides of the rear seal cap and seal it to the block. These are a huge improvement over the standard style paper or cardboard strips. Silicone is considered a much better material to use for these rear seal end strip applications. Oil Pump Gasket
We now offer replacement oil pump gaskets. For some strange reason, these are not offered separately or included in ANY gasket sets from any of the major gasket suppliers such as Fel-pro, Victor, Rol, etc, and they are nearly impossible to find. Many of the gasket companies list "Oil Pump Gasket" in their catalogs, but under the description, the part is listed as an "o-ring", so it is actually the standard rubber o-ring which fits around the drive area of the pump, not the gasket. So, we've sourced these hard to find gaskets and now offer them for sale separately. Another "pain in the butt" big block Mopar problem made simple and inexpensive by 440 Source!

Water Temp Sending Unit - W/ Gauge - Disc Type
We offer water temp sending units for factory and most aftermarket electrical gauges. These fit in the small 1/8" pipe threads on the top drivers side of our aluminum water pump housings, and work with cars which included factory temp gauges. There are two different versions of this sending unit. This one uses a small disc on the top, which a spade connector slips over and locks onto. The other style (listed separately) has a threaded stud which uses an eyelet on the end of the wire, and his held on by a nut. Order the type you need depending on which connector you have on the end of your wiring harness. Another often overlooked part which can be hard to find at times. Don't let these little items hold up your build. These are a premium part, still made in the good old US of A.

ARP 5.200" Special Main Girdle Stud - ONE PIECE
These are the special ARP 5.200" long main studs designed to be used with aftermarket 1/4" thick main girdle plates. Sheet Metal Valley Pan - RB Engine - Single Plane
Our fabricated sheet metal valley pans work great with our aluminum Stealth heads, Edelbrock RPM heads, Trick Flow 240's AND 270's, or any other aftermarket heads which feature an unbroken deck surface where the lower edge of the head's deck surface meets the edge of the valley pan. They will also work with factory cylinder heads, however there may be a small gap where the lower deck surface has a break which may need to be filled with silicone, depending on the intake manifold you are using. The pan is shown upside down in the picture. When it is installed, the "lips" along the long sides will fit underneath the edge of the cylinder heads, making a tight seal and allowing the use of standard intake port gaskets. This pan is designed to work with SINGLE PLAIN INTAKES only. Dual plane intakes (including stock units) will not fit due to the exhaust crossover which hangs down underneath them. We do have some other models which may work if you are using a dual plane intake Because this pan is a single solid piece which fits "under" the cylinder head intake face edges, it requires at least one cylinder head to be off during installation or removal. Supplied in a gold irridite finish for good looks and corrosion resistance. We carry these in two different versions, one for the "RB" (413/426/440) engines and one for the "B" (361/383/400) engines. Be sure to select the correct one for the type of engine you are working on.

1/4 Main Girdle Setup
Our main girdle setups are just the ticket to add the ultimate in strength to the bottom end of your high horsepower big block Mopar. Absolutely recommended for builds over 600 horsepower. During engine operation, the power and twisting force of the engine can cause the main studs and caps to distort under load. Normally, the block is doing the best it can to hold all these forces together, however stock blocks were originally designed in the 1950's for engines making 300-400 horsepower, topps. Today's stroker engines with long armed cranks can make 600-800 horsepower without much trouble at all. All those increased crank strokes act like a longer prybar during operation, greatly increasing the available leverage, which in turn multiplies the internal loads the engine has to deal with by several times. Under these heavier loads, the main studs can act a little like a "flagpole or antenna in the wind." With nothing to hold them steady, they can sway back and forth and side to side, causing the main caps to move or distort under stress, or even "jump" slightly off the block (known as capwalk.) All this can lead to possible main cap and/or bearing damage or failure. In a worst case scenario, this flexing can even lead to the block cracking down the center. These girdles act similar to the way in which the guide wires on a flagpole or antenna would work. They anchor the outer or lower end of the main studs, and keep them in place under serious loads. They also help to generally tie together and strengthen the bottom end. By directly connecting the block's deep oil pan "skirt" to the blocks main cap & stud assembly, (which, in turn, is connected directly to the center of the block or the "core" of the engine) they help all components of the engine's bottom end to be linked together into one solid, interconnected assembly. This is a HUGE improvement over the factory's arrangement, where all the components of the bottom end (main caps & studs, oil pan rails, etc are all separate non connected components which protrude from center core of the engine block. We make these from super strong 1/4" solid steel plate, (not 3/16" aluminum like some of the others we've found on the market.) We've found 1/4" to be thick enough to do a great job, but not so thick that it causes interference hassles with the oil pan to k-member clearance, etc. This setup includes all the hardware needed to install, including oil pan studs and bolts, assorted thicknesses of custom shim packs, main studs, nuts, hardened washers, etc. All the main studs, nuts and washers are custom made 190,000 PSI pieces, so you know the quality is top notch. The girdle is clamped and held in place with double nuts (both on TOP and underneath, so there is no distortion or movement.) If your block has already been machined with studs, those studs can be replaced with the studs included with our girdle without a problem. If your block currently has bolts, it will need to be re-line honed because replacing bolts with studs will cause the main housing bores to distort slightly. Detailed installation instructions are included with this kit. It technically "can" be installed with the engine still in the car, but sure is a heck of a lot easier to do it with the engine flipped over on a stand. A great value and some of the best insurance you can buy! While our girdle setup does work great with factory main caps, if you want the absolute ultimate in strength, (short of an aftermarket block) use this with our aftermarket billet main caps!

Rocker Shaft Shims (pkg. of 30)
A large part of setting up a performance valvetrain involves using these shims to check and adjust the wear pattern of the rocker tip. This can be thought of as how the rocker "wipes" across the valve face and back. Super Duty 10 Degree 11/32" Valve Locks
Shown here is our 10 degree Super Duty valve locks. These are a huge, extremely beefy valve lock which has a wider angle of interference than a standard 7 degree lock. These are fully machined (not stamped) from a super tough fatigue resistant alloy. These are recommended these for any cams over .460" lift. These fit 11/32 valve stems, which can be found on most aftermarket aluminum heads (such as our Stealth heads or Edelbrock RPM's,) and they work great (and must be used with) our 10 degree retainers, part number 145-1003, which can be found on our Valve Retainers page. We highly recommend upgrading to these for extra insurance. These are supplied in a set of 32, enough to do one complete engine.

Super Lock 10 Degree Steel Retainers - Set of 16
Shown here is our 10 degree "Super Lock" Steel Retainers. These are a huge, extremely beefy valve retainer which is designed to fit our 145-1002 ten degree "Super Locks," which can be found on our Valve Locks page. This 10 degree lock & retainer system has a wider angle of interference than a standard 7 degree lock. These are fully machined from 4140 Chrome Moly and finished in black oxide. Most major cam manufacurers recommend going to a 10 degree setup for extra insurance with any cams over .460" lift, and it is generally considered mandatory for any cams using a dual valve spring setup and/or over .510" lift. We highly recommend upgrading to these for extra insurance. These are supplied in a set of 16, enough to do one complete engine.

Billet 3 Bolt 9 Way Adj. Timing Chain Set - W/ Torrington

For all roller cams, this set is the only way to go, since it comes with a pre installed TORRINGTON BEARING on the back of the cam gear, which is necessary with all roller cam applications. Comp Cams Engine Break In Oil Additive
Along with the purchase of any Comp cam and lifters, we also strongly recommend using Comp's engine break in oil additive. This is it essential to make sure your cam and lifters are fully covered under Comp's warranty. It's a well known fact that, due to EPA regulations and other reasons, over the last few years oil manufacturers have removed the Zinc and other additives from their motor oil. If you try to break in a brand new cam and just add regular "off the shelf" motor oil from your local parts store, it is VERY likely you will have a failure. You must add this additive to the oil to replenish the zinc which is no longer included by the oil manufacturers. This works with synthetics, blended, and standard petroleum oils. In our own engines, we usually get a couple extra bottles to keep on the shelf and add one at every oil change. It's cheap insurance.

Adjustable Checking Pushrod RB
Shown here is our checking pushrod tool. Use this for applications with adjustable rocker arms which use the ball on the bottom end, and the cup on the top end. This is basically a pushrod which has been cut and threaded, so that it can be screwed in and out (or adjusted) once it is fit in the engine to determine the correct length pushrod you will need for that application. This is for use as a tool only, you would never actually run this pushrod in an engine. Once the correct pushrod length is found (by measuring the length of the checking pushrod after everything is positioned correctly), then pushrods can be ordered or made (if necessary) to that length. This version of our pushrod checking tool would generally be used for "RB" engines, and is adjustable from approximately 8.500" to 9.500." Shown here is our checking pushrod tool. ARP Ultra-Torque Assembly Lube - 1.69oz Tube
Whenever you order bolts, don't forget a tube of ARP assembly lubricant. ARP's new "Ultra-Torque" is a special new blend of PFTE lube which ensures the correct torque will be reached on the first pull, so there is no longer any need to "cycle" the fastener (or loosen and tighten it several times), which has been the case with ARP's regular "Moly Lube" This lube is essential to get correct torque on the head, rod and main bolts, and it doesn't hurt to put it on misc other engine bolts as well. One tube is usually enough to do 4 or 5 complete engines, so it's a good investment to keep around the shop.

Adjustable Oil Pressure Regulator
Our new adjustable oil pressure relief valve is a great accessory for your big block Mopar. This unit simply screws in and replaces the original plug which holds in the oil pressure relief plunger and spring. This plug is drilled and tapped in the center with an adjusting screw which can be screwed in or out as desired. The screw is surrounded by a special liquid tight o-ring seal to eliminate leaks, and held in place by a nylon lock nut & washer. Screwing the plug in will put more pressure on the relief spring and raise the oil pressure, while screwing the plug out will release the pressure on the spring, and cause the oil pressure to drop. You can use this to adjust your oil pressure where you like it (within a reasonable range), even while the engine is running! (Challenge your Chevy buddies to try that one!) Works great for offsetting pressure loss or gain from specific bearing clearances, certain oil viscosities, etc, etc. Works with ALL oil pumps including factory pumps, aftermarket Melling pumps and Racing style billet aluminum pumps.

3/8" Cut to Fit Pushrod Set, .062" wall, 10.00" Max Length - CHROME MOLY
Our new cut to fit pushrod sets are just what you need if you don't know exactly what your finished pushrod length should be. These 3/8" .062" wall pushrods are made from heavy duty aircraft quality 4130 CHROME MOLY steel. They come with the 3/8" ball end (bottom end) of the pushrods assembled, however the top (cup) end comes unassembeled, so that you can cut the tubing down to the exact length you need. The cups on these are designed for a 5/16" ball size on the bottom of the rocker adjuster. Maximum length is 10.00" (if they were put together without shortening the length,) and these pushrods can be cut down to any length shorter than that. While we recommend cutting the tubing on a lathe for the straightest possible cut, if you are in a pinch, these can also be cut with a cutoff wheel. The ends can be pressed in with a press, or (in a pinch) tapped in with a mallet if necessary. A great way to ensure you'll be getting the correct length pushrods, without having to mess with multiple orders, custom made parts, etc.

Comp Cams Pro Magnum Hydraulic Lifters - Set of 16
Comp's Pro Magnum (Anti Pump Up Style) premium hydraulic lifters are the recommended choice for any type of racing use, or in any application in which the engine will see over 5000-6000 RPM. At these higher RPM's Comp has done extensive testing. They have found not only were the Pro-Magnums good for about 10-15 more horsepower, but they also do not succumb to lifter "pump-up," a condition where the internal piston inside the lifter can fill up with oil and not have enough time to drain or "bleed down." This can result in the piston being in an improper position as it "pumps up," which can lead to holding valves open, which in turn can lead to greatly reduced power output, or in some cases (if that open valve happens to strike a piston top) there can be extreme engine failure. These must be used with an adjustable type of valve train, such as adjustable rocker arms (preferably roller rockers) along with the associated pushrods required, which will allow you to set the preload very small at .002"-.004" with the engine warm. These lifters are considered essential to ensure that your cam has the longest possible life and is fully covered under Comp's warranty policy. And, since this is Comp we're talking about, you can be assured of two things: The product is 100% made in the USA, and the quality is second to none. Seat height on these is 1.84". The "cup" in these lifters will fit ONLY a 5/16" ball size on the pushrod.

Engine Block Oil Passage Enlargement Drill Bit 12
Big block Mopars generally have a very good oiling system from the factory. However, one easy modification recommended by Mopar Performance is to enlarge the passages which go from the passenger side main oil galley to the main bearings. This allows extra oil to both the main and rod bearings, and only takes a few minutes to do with any hand drill. Made from 180,000 PSI forged aerospace alloy, these were originally developed for NASCAR winston cup competition. The bolts are fully heat treated prior to thread rolling and machining. Finished in black oxide for good looks and corrosion resistance. Flat 12pt head design ensures no clearance problems during installation. If you have a stroker engine with aftermarket components, high stall converter, etc... these are must have item. You simply can not put in stronger bolts than these. These are the larger 7/16" bolts used for most aftermarket performance torque converters. For most stock converters, use our 5/16" bolt kit instead, which is part # 129-1006.

Comp Cams Cam and Lifter Installation Lube, 4oz Bottle
Comp Cams has taken great pains to develop what they feel to be the best line of lubricants available to protect your engine before startup and during break-in. Used by professional engine builders throughout the country, their cam and lifter lube is a red tacky oil which sticks to the surface and won't bleed off. This is ideal for engines which will sit for any amount of time between initial startup and when the cam and lifters were installed and lubed. This ensures your cam and lifters have full lubrication upon startup, preventing any galling or scuffing upon first contact. One 4oz bottle is enough to do one engine.

Pushrods for Adjustable Rockers / B 8.291 long - Set of 16
Our premium CHROME MOLY pushrods are for using adjustable or roller rocker arms in a Big Block Mopar engine. These are made from aircraft quality 4130 alloy 3/8" seamless tubing with a .065 wall thickness, and supplied in a TOTAL length of 8.291" inches, as measured from the bottom of the ball to the top of the cup. These pushrods MUST be used with adjustable or roller rockers, most of which require these type of pushrods which have a "cup" on one end and a standard type "ball" on the other end. These are made with a 3/8" ball size on the bottom end, and the top (cup) ends are designed for a 5/16" ball size on the bottom of the rocker adjuster. Don't forget to CHECK YOUR REQUIRED LENGTH first with a checking tool (also sold separately.)

Timing Tape
Our timing tape features a zero to 60 degree scale (plus marks every 90deg) and fits all Big Block Mopar 7 1/4" diameter dampers. These are a great high performance item that helps to solve several problems. On engraved or printed dampers (even if they have the full timing scale printed) the lettering can be hard to read against the chrome background. This tape, with big, bright white lettering against a black background makes it quite a bit easier to see when setting timing, especially down in the dark near the bottom of the engine. Second, due to tolerance stack up, it's somewhat common to find the zero mark on your damper can be off by a degree or so. By using the tape, it allows you to find exact TDC, and they apply the tape at exactly that point. This is a much better and inexpensive alternative to modifying your timing pointer, or having your damper re-degreed.
