Doweled Rear Seal Cap - Aluminum

Rear seal leaks are a pesky problem on Big Block Mopar engines. Our new engine block uses a special aluminum rear seal cap which includes .500" OD hollow steel dowel pins, which locate the cap exactly in place when installed, making sure there is always perfect alignment between the upper and lower halves, and helping to eliminate those pesky leaks. While this fits our aftermarket blocks directly, they can also be retrofitted onto a factory OEM block, however you would have to counterbore the two bolt holes in the block where the seal cap bolts on, to .500" ID, and about .250" deep. This part includes the aluminum cap, and the two steel hollow dowel pins necessary for installation.
