The canister height on these has been increased an extra 1 1/2 inches, to about 7 inches to make sure the oil pump has plenty of capacity. Other than a deep sump oil pan, this is the only way to increase the capacity of your oil system, and it's kept right at the supply side of the oil pump, just where it's needed most. A nice detail and an inexpensive way to get a little extra oil that most builders overlook. Don't forget to check to make sure you have clearance in the chassis for the extra length.
