Reinforced Engine Support Brackets 66-72B 66-73C 70-74E

We've taken our most popular brackets which fit B bodies from 1966-72, C bodies from 1966-73 and E bodies from 1970-74, and made an EXACT reproduction of the factory stampings. The first "early" versions of these made by Chrysler had flat, unreinforced "ears" on the upper part of the drivers side bracket, where it bolts to the engine. Because the drivers side bracket is being pulled upwards under hard acceleration, they found these flat ears would occaisionally break. So, after a couple years, they redesigned the bracket so that the upper ear had an additional section of metal that wrapped around the bolt, making it more like a piece of angle iron, rather than a flat bar. These orignal reinforced brackets have been sought after for many years, but are often very hard to find. Reproductions of the early non-reinforced style have been available for decades, however all the reproductions on the market are made by laser cutting a pattern, and then bending them on a break to give the bracket it's shape. However, this method makes it impossible to recreate the reinforced area like the originals had. The ONLY way to create these is to make the original stamping dies, just like Chrysler had. Well, we have re-made the dies, and now we are able to offer reproductions of the original reinforced brackets! For those who are serious original purists, these also have all the exact bends and creases that the originals had as well. These were originally sold as Chrysler # 2536132, for the right side, and 2863751 for the left. Notice the left hand bracket will have a tube welded across the channel area of the mount (shown above on the right) making it easy to distinguish from the right side bracket. The right hand bracket (2536132) was also used on the passenger side of big block A bodies from 1967-69 with our 2250HEAVY insulator. Great replacement brackets for missing or damaged originals on factory big block cars, or for transplanting a big block into a small block car (except A-body) of the above years and body styles.
