Intermediate (distributor) Shaft Bushing Installer and Reamer Tool

This custom made tool works perfectly to install your intermediate (distributor) shaft bushing into your engine block. Just insert the bushing onto the end of the tool, lower the tool and bushing into the block, and guide the bushing into the block hole. Then drop the round collar down into the distributor hole, which will center and guide the tool. Then tap the end of the tool with a hammer, this will drive the bushing into the block perfectly straight and evenly. You'll hear the sound change once the bushing bottoms out into the block. Then thread the large nut down onto the tool until it's snug against the collar. Then hold the adjusting screw from moving with a 3/8" wrench or a crescent. Then tighten the large installation nut, and this will pull the reamer tip up through the bushing, ensuring it is properly sized. After this, your intermediate shaft will drop right into the bushing with no problems.
