Trans Filter Kit. Includes very high quality Fel-pro Felcoprene solid neoprene rubber gaskets. Unlike standard cork, there are no air pockets in these gaskets to allow fluid to "weep" or "wick" through the material. NEVER use RTV (silicone) or any type of glues or sealants with these gaskets. They will not adhere to the gasket and may cause the gasket to move out of the sealing area, which could lead to leaks. If the pan needs to be removed for future service, these gaskets have a coating applied during processing that permits easy separation from the flange or pan without time consuming scraping and possible surface damage. These gaskets also have a "hole lock" feature to help align the gasket to the pan, using the mounting bolts. The holes are smaller than the bolts, which holds the bolts in place during installation, making pan/filter changes much easier, especially in the driveway without a lift. Many people have a tendency to over tighten these, since they don't "feel" like they are compressing. Be careful not to overtorque. According to Fel-Pro, nearly 100% of failures with these gaskets are from either use of RTV (silicone) or over tightening. These include 2 gaskets for different applications,, so they will fit the following transmissions: A727 / A518 / A500, and the following transmissions if they use the large type filter (shown): A904 / A998.
