We carry a large selection of oil pans for the big block Mopar engine, in both stock replacement and performance versions. For performance engines, (or any engine using a high volume oil pump) we recommend a minimum of a 6 quart capacity pan. If you look at any of the serious performance engines Chrysler produced, such as the 426 Hemi, Max Wedge, 440 Six Pack, etc, they ALL had 6 quart pans from the factory. We now offer a line of exact reproductions of Chrysler's 6 quart pans for most all body styles. Because they are exact reproductions of the factory pans, they will fit the chassis (K-member and suspension) perfectly, and they don't hang down excessively so they are perfect for street driving.

When building your engine on the stand, it's important to install and mark the correct "FULL" oil line on the dipstick. The correct factory spec FULL line should be EXACTLY 2-1/8" inches below the pan rail. The "ADD" line, should be 1/2" lower than that, or 2-5/8" below the pan rail.

Don't forget bolts, gaskets and a matching oil pickup to go with your pan. If you're interested in learning about every oil pan Chrysler ever made for the big block engine, along with original part numbers and pictures, click on our OIL PANS informational page here: https://www.440source.com/oilpans.htm

Also, check out our new line of "EXTRA THICK" oil pans! We make these ourselves from steel which is 70% thicker than both the original Chrysler pans, and the "Made in Taiwan" repros everyone else is selling. You won't find these anywhere else but 440 Source! (or our licensed resellers...)
