This page covers "valley pans" which are sometimes referred to as "bathtub gaskets." It's the piece of sheet metal or stamped steel which fits below the intake manifold and seals off the lifter valley. We carry several different types, from the original stock replacement versions, to slick aftermarket fabricated sheet metal versions for use with aftermarket aluminum heads. We also carry the accessories which hold the valley pan on, such as the "holddown bars" and the bolts.
It's important to note that "B" (low deck) and "RB" (tall deck) engines both use different widths of both valley pans and holddown bars. Since the "RB" engine's deck is raised, this increases the distance between the heads, making it necessary to use a different intake manifold, valley pan gasket, and holddown bars.
Our fabricated sheet metal valley pans work great with our aluminum Stealth heads, Edelbrock RPM heads, Trick Flow 240's AND 270's, or any other aftermarket heads which feature an unbroken deck surface where the lower edge of the head's deck surface meets the edge of the valley pan. They will also work with factory cylinder heads, however there may be a small gap where the lower deck surface has a break which may need to be filled with silicone, depending on the intake manifold you are using. The pan is shown upside down in the picture. When it is installed, the "lips" along the long sides will fit underneath the edge of the cylinder heads, making a tight seal and allowing the use of standard intake port gaskets. This pan is designed to work with SINGLE PLAIN INTAKES only. Dual plane intakes (including stock units) will not fit due to the exhaust crossover which hangs down underneath them. We do have some other models which may work if you are using a dual plane intake Because this pan is a single solid piece which fits "under" the cylinder head intake face edges, it requires at least one cylinder head to be off during installation or removal. Supplied in a gold irridite finish for good looks and corrosion resistance.
We carry these in two different versions, one for the "RB" (413/426/440) engines and one for the "B" (361/383/400) engines. Be sure to select the correct one for the type of engine you are working on.
This valley pan is the same as our single plain models, except it features a clearance well which will clear the exhaust crossover found in the Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold. It DOES NOT work with stock cast iron intakes, the Edelbrock standard Performer, or any others. These also work well with our aluminum Stealth heads, Edelbrock RPM heads, or any other aftermarket heads which feature an unbroken deck surface where the lower edge of the head's deck surface meets the edge of the valley pan. We offer brand new steel bathtub intake gaskets. These fit "RB" (413/426W/440) engines. We recommend using these with our 112-1005 intake "facing" gaskets.
We offer brand new steel bathtub intake gaskets. These fit "B" (361/383/400) engines, which use a slightly narrower version of this gasket because of the lower deck height (which puts the heads a bit closer together.) We recommend using these with our 112-1005 intake "facing" gaskets.
Shown above are our very nice aftermarket Billet Aluminum valley pan holddown bars. Fully machined from billet aluminum stock, these include nice looking ball milling between the bolt holes.

Our Performance 12 point bolt kits are a nice looking option that features grade 8 strength, black oxide coating, and with a price that doesn't break the bank. This kit includes all 6 bolts you need to attach the valley pan hold down straps to the engine block. Custom matching, small diameter washers are also included with this kit.
The GOOD option. Our grade 8 Valley pan hold down bolt kits includes all 6 bolts and washers you need to hold down the front and rear of the valley pan. Supplied in a good looking gold irridite finish.
Shown here is our .062" intake manifold gaskets. Made from .062" thick, somewhat rigid compressed fiber gasket material, these are sold in a set of 2. They are designed to work with our aftermarket sheet metal type valley pans
Shown here is our intake manifold "facing" gaskets. Made from .015" thick gasket facing material, these are sold in a set of 4, and are designed to work with the factory replacement type valley pans listed on our gaskets section. We recommend using one gasket on either side of the port area of the valley pan to aid in sealing, and to allow for the expansion and contraction of aluminum intake manifolds. These interchange with Fel-Pro # 1216. These can also be used as standard intake gaskets with aftermarket style valley pans if the .015" material is preferred.
