Our 6 quart performance Big Block pan is a great choice for those 1966-1972 B bodies and 1970-1974 E bodies. Because these hold 6 quarts (plus the one in the filter for 7 total), they allow you to run a high volume oil pump, which is much more desirable for performance applications. And because they are an exact reproduction of the factory 1970-71 E body Hemi pan (Chrysler part number 2951564) they dont hang any lower than a factory pan and offer optimum ground clearance for street driving. No more worrying about scraping the oil pan on those speed bumps or steep driveways. They also include all the internal oil baffles, just like the factory made them for the 426 Hemi. Pan depth is exactly 5". Our oil pickups may require slight modification to match the pan, we recommend using our 101-1010, 121-1055 or 121-1056, depending on your preference. This pan is supplied in a in a very nice chome plated finish designed to resist corrosion.
