Oil Pump Gasket
We now offer replacement oil pump gaskets. For some strange reason, these are not offered separately or included in ANY gasket sets from any of the major gasket suppliers such as Fel-pro, Victor, Rol, etc, and they are nearly impossible to find. Many of the gasket companies list "Oil Pump Gasket" in their catalogs, but under the description, the part is listed as an "o-ring", so it is actually the standard rubber o-ring which fits around the drive area of the pump, not the gasket. So, we've sourced these hard to find gaskets and now offer them for sale separately. Another "pain in the butt" big block Mopar problem made simple and inexpensive by 440 Source!

Timing Tape
Our timing tape features a zero to 60 degree scale (plus marks every 90deg) and fits all Big Block Mopar 7 1/4" diameter dampers. These are a great high performance item that helps to solve several problems. On engraved or printed dampers (even if they have the full timing scale printed) the lettering can be hard to read against the chrome background. This tape, with big, bright white lettering against a black background makes it quite a bit easier to see when setting timing, especially down in the dark near the bottom of the engine. Second, due to tolerance stack up, it's somewhat common to find the zero mark on your damper can be off by a degree or so. By using the tape, it allows you to find exact TDC, and they apply the tape at exactly that point. This is a much better and inexpensive alternative to modifying your timing pointer, or having your damper re-degreed.

Six Pack Throttle Return Spring Bracket -
Shown above is our exact reproduction of the factory six pack throttle return spring bracket used from 69 1/2 until 1972. It will work on all engines, but is factory correct for those years. These include the small tab that fits into the bolt hole in the head. These make a great general purpose throttle return bracket which looks 100% factory, but will work with most aftermarket intakes which have a raised height. Based on our decades of experience building engines, we highly recommend coating the surface of most gaskets with Permatex Ultra Grey RTV Silicone. Use our premium Permatex BLUE Loctite on all applications which need to be held in place, but are still intended to be broken loose from time to time. We always use this on certain parts of the engine which tend to come loose occaisionally due to harmonics, even when they are torqued correctly during assembly. Big Block Mopars are famous for this on torque coverter bolts, rocker arm hardware, cam sprocket bolts, etc. We highly recommend it for those applications. Silicone Rear Seal End Strips Kit
We also offer upgraded silicone rubber rear seal end strips. These are the small strips which fit down the sides of the rear seal cap and seal it to the block. These are a huge improvement over the standard style paper or cardboard strips. Silicone is considered a much better material to use for these rear seal end strip applications. Our ARP torque converter to flexplate bolt kits are the strongest bolts you can get to attach your torque converter to flexplate for high horsepower and/or highly stressed applications. Made from 200,000 PSI forged aerospace alloy, these were originally developed for NASCAR winston cup competition. The bolts are fully heat treated prior to thread rolling and machining. Finished in black oxide for good looks and corrosion resistance. Flat 12pt head design ensures no clearance problems during installation. If you have a stroker engine with aftermarket components, high stall converter, etc... these are must have item. You simply can not put in stronger bolts than these. These are the smaller 5/16" bolts used for most stock type torque converters. For most performance torque converters, use our 7/16" bolt kit instead, which is part # 129-1052.

ARP Ultra-Torque Assembly Lube - 1.69oz Tube
Whenever you order bolts, don't forget a tube of ARP assembly lubricant. ARP's new "Ultra-Torque" is a special new blend of PFTE lube which ensures the correct torque will be reached on the first pull, so there is no longer any need to "cycle" the fastener (or loosen and tighten it several times), which has been the case with ARP's regular "Moly Lube" This lube is essential to get correct torque on the head, rod and main bolts, and it doesn't hurt to put it on misc other engine bolts as well. One tube is usually enough to do 4 or 5 complete engines, so it's a good investment to keep around the shop.

ARP 5.200 Special Main Girdle Stud - ONE PIECE
We now carry the special 5.200" long ARP studs which are supplied in our main girdle kit. These feature the extra long threads on the top end of the stud to allow for the extra thickness of the girdle plate, shims and hold down nuts. Normally, 8 of these are required for a complete engine, the rear (#5) main cap uses standard length studs since longer studs are impossible to use in this location due to the interference with the rear seal cap. Water Temp Sending Unit - W/ Gauge - Disc Type
We offer water temp sending units for factory and most aftermarket electrical gauges. These fit in the small 1/8" pipe threads on the top drivers side of our aluminum water pump housings, and work with cars which included factory temp gauges. There are two different versions of this sending unit. This one uses a small disc on the top, which a spade connector slips over and locks onto. The other style (listed separately) has a threaded stud which uses an eyelet on the end of the wire, and his held on by a nut. Order the type you need depending on which connector you have on the end of your wiring harness. Another often overlooked part which can be hard to find at times. Don't let these little items hold up your build. These are a premium part, still made in the good old US of A.

Intake Manifold Gaskets - .062 Thick - Set of 2
Shown here is our .062" intake manifold gaskets. Made from high quality .062" thick, composition fiber gasket material, these are sold in a set of 2. They feature the standard 2.27" tall by 1.23" wide port openings, and are designed to work with our aftermarket sheet metal type valley pans where the valley pan stops at the deck surface of the cylinder head, and the intake manifold bolts directly to the face of the cylinder head, with only one gasket per side being used. These interchange with Mr. Gasket # 301.

Comp Cams Engine Break In Oil Additive
Along with the purchase of any Comp cam and lifters, we also strongly recommend using Comp's engine break in oil additive. This is it essential to make sure your cam and lifters are fully covered under Comp's warranty. It's a well known fact that, due to EPA regulations and other reasons, over the last few years oil manufacturers have removed the Zinc and other additives from their motor oil. If you try to break in a brand new cam and just add regular "off the shelf" motor oil from your local parts store, it is VERY likely you will have a failure. You must add this additive to the oil to replenish the zinc which is no longer included by the oil manufacturers. This works with synthetics, blended, and standard petroleum oils. In our own engines, we usually get a couple extra bottles to keep on the shelf and add one at every oil change. It's cheap insurance.

Engine Block Oil Passage Enlargement Drill Bit 12
Big block Mopars generally have a very good oiling system from the factory. However, one easy modification recommended by Mopar Performance is to enlarge the passages which go from the passenger side main oil galley to the main bearings. This allows extra oil to both the main and rod bearings, and only takes a few minutes to do with any hand drill. We carry the special 12" long drill bit required, which should be a standard part in any mechanic's tool box who is building high performance big block Mopar engines. Rocker Shaft Shims (pkg. of 30)
A large part of setting up a performance valvetrain involves using these shims to check and adjust the wear pattern of the rocker tip. This can be thought of as how the rocker "wipes" across the valve face and back.
