Rear Main Seal Cap - Billet Aluminum
Our billet aluminum rear seal cap is fully CNC machined from a solid block of 6061 T-6. We make them slightly wider than the original factory units so there's no slop when it fits up into the block, which helps to avoid leaks. Don't forget the special countersunk bolts below.

Viton Rear Seal
We also offer an upgraded VITON fluoroelastomer rear seal. Viton is made by Dupont, and has much greater resistance to high temperatures than standard rubber. It also doesn't have a tendency to dry out and shrink over time while sitting, which makes it a great choice for cars which will sit for months or weeks in between being driven. Overall, Viton is considered a top of the line material to use for rear seal applications. One more way to combat those pesky rear seal leaks. These fit all big blocks, all years. Our 144-1000 kit includes both upper and lower seal halves.

Rear Main Seal Cap - Used
Here is a front and rear view of our standard USED rear main seal cap. We refinish these nicely and and nothing wears on them, so there should be very little difference from a new one. Used from 1962 to end of production. Chrysler Part number 2128895.
