Bring your Mopar into the 21st century with our lightweight alternator and bracket conversion kit. This complete kit contains a modern, internally regulated lightweight and compact Denso 60 Amp alternator, as well as the mounting spacers, brackets and bolts necessary to retrofit this alternator onto your big block Mopar. And since these are internally regulated, you can simplify your wiring by getting rid of that factory firewall mounted voltage regulator. We even include the single groove pulley on the alternator! For those that want original factory looking parts we now offer our BRAND NEW REPRODUCTION 100% USA made factory style alternator bracket set. These come in a powder coated black finish. They have all the curves and holes exactly like the factory ones did, including the two upper holes which fit both low deck "B" (361-383-400) and raised deck "RB" (413-426-440) engines. Aftermarket chrome units have only one hole which fits only RB engines. These require a 1968 or later water pump housing, or an aftermarket aluminum one. Why pay 50-60 bucks or more from the "reproduction" stores when we now have these available at a very affordable price.
Shown above is our BRAND NEW REPRODUCTION chrome plated alternator bracket set. The plating and overall quality on these is among the best we've ever seen. These fit all years and models of RB wedge big blocks, as long as a 1968 or later water pump housing (or our aftermarket aluminum version) is used. And, they're now available at a very affordable price. These will not fit "B" engines (361-383-400) unless an additional hole is drilled for the slightly different location of the top bolt.
Replacement "squareback" style alternator. These work with the 1970 & later style "dual field" electronic regulators. They can also be used with the '69 and earlier single field "points" type regulator if one field is connected to ground. These may have either a dual or single pulley. If you are using them with a single belt setup, only the pulley closest to the alternator is used. They work great with our brackets, belts, and bolt & spacer kits listed above. Some details in the appearance of the actual part may vary slightly from the picture, especially the pulley type and color.
